In this lesson, the students will learn about the story of the liberation of the city of Jerusalem on the 28th of Iyar, 1967, from Jordanian control, about the celebrations in Jerusalem on this day, and about the importance of the city’s unity.  
 
Through videos, presentations, and a creative activity, the children learn about the history of the city, its two “birthdays,” and the connection between ancient Jerusalem and modern Jerusalem. The lesson combines knowledge, experience, and creativity, and connects the students to the heritage of the city.
