Seder Night Around the World
Two-thousand years ago, Jewish people would make the journey from around the world to celebrate Pesach together in Jerusalem.
Since the destruction of the Temple, this custom has ceased to exist, and Seder Night has become something else:
How do we celebrate Seder Night today? Over the years, different customs developed in different Jewish communities.
However, the Haggadah remained the same in all places and ends with the wish that unites us all, “Next Year in Rebuilt Jerusalem.”
At the end of the lesson, the students will write their own wishes and will place them in the afikoman bag that they will prepare for their own Seder night.
